Mountain View Backcountry Ministry
At Mountain View, we believe that the beauty of God’s creation is more than just a backdrop—it’s an invitation. Our Outdoor Ministry is rooted in the example of Jesus, who often withdrew to the mountains, walked along the shores, and prayed in the wilderness.
Jesus called His disciples from the shore of the sea, delivered the Sermon on the Mount under open skies, and spent 40 days in the wilderness preparing for His ministry. The natural world became a classroom, a sanctuary, and a place of transformation.

Our Outdoor Ministry continues that tradition. Whether it’s hiking, camping, paddle-boarding, or backpacking we step outside to disconnect from the noise and reconnect with Christ. In creation, we see God's handiwork firsthand, feel His presence, and experience a deeper sense of community.
Join us as we follow Jesus’ example of respite and retreat in the wilderness.
