Our Story
Mountain View Community Church began with a desire to see a church birthed that would make a genuine difference in the hearts of people in the Bozeman area. There was also a desire to plant a new church that would be a strong sending church to plant more churches regionally and around the world.

Our Beginning
Dr. Ashely Denton and his family graciously answered the call to move from Mountain View Community Church in Ft. Collins, Colorado to come and plant Mountain View Bozeman. This is one of the first church meetings at the Denton household February of 2020.

Yellowstone Theological Institute
By God's grace the church continued to grow, and soon outgrew the Denton's household. Sunday worship services were moved to a room at Yellowstone Theological Institute in spring of 2021, where we continued to see the Lord move in the church.

Cold Smoke Coffee House
While YTI was a wonderful meeting spot, we quickly became cramped and ran out of chairs for everyone! In September of 2021 we moved to holding worship at Cold Smoke Coffee House, which allowed for more space and continued growth. Here is where our children's ministry truly stated to take root as we had separate rooms for them to meet in. This is also when our first staff Pastor, Grant Gubser was hired and brought on the help shepherd the flock.

Heritage Christian School
In November of 2023 we officially outgrew Cold Smoke Coffeehouse and moved the church to Heritage Christian School, where we have been ever since. We thank the Lord for His provision of this space that allows us to grow, have separate meetings rooms for Children's Ministry, and be able to minister to the Bozeman community. We have seen an incredible amount of growth here, and the start of many of our ministries including CREW, MVCC backcountry, missional communities, and more. We are excited to see what He has in store for Mountain View Community Church and where He takes us in the years to come.
